Traditional soup with noodles, yogurt, kidney beans and chickpeas, flavored with dill, turmeric and mint.

Bolani – $8.00
Turnovers filled with scallions, cilantro and potato, served with yogurt-garlic dip.

Shornakhod – $6.50
A salad composed of chickpeas and kidney beans with a crushed cilantro, lemon and vinegar dressing.

Jan-i Amma – $6.50
Yogurt, minced cucumbers, onions and mint, served with Afghan bread.

Burta – $9.00
Crushed eggplant blended with yogurt, sour cream, garlic, mint, cilantro, olive oil and lemon juice, served with Afghan bread.

Mushroom Qorma – $8.50
Mushroom sauteed in Kabul’s own herbs & spices, topped with cilantro, and garlic yogurt sauce. Served with Afghan bread.

Salata – $6.00
Cubed tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and mint with lemon dressing.

 

Vegetarian Entrees

Qorma-i Sabzi – $18.00
A melange of spinach, cilantro, parsley and scallions, cooked in our special spices and served with Basmati rice.

Qorma-i Tarkari – $18.00
Cauliflower, baby carrots and potatoes, cooked with a blend of dill, turmeric and cumin, served with Basmati rice.

Ashak – $18.00
Fresh pasta filled with scallions, leeks and cilantro, served with yogurt-garlic sauce. Topped with a mildly spiced tomato and onion sauce, and sprinkled with mint.

Kabuli Palaw – $12.00
A generous portion of Basmati rice cooked with a special blend of saffron, black pepper, cardamom, coriander and cumin. Topped with raisins, nuts and julienned carrots.  (Served with optional lamb qorma – $18.00)

Badenjan Borani – $20.00/$24.00
Eggplant sauteed and simmered in a lightly spiced tomato-based sauce, served on a bed of yogurt garlic sauce, sprinkled with dried mint. Add a side of Basmati rice for an additional four dollars.

Entrees

A combination of spinach, cilantro, parsley and scallions, topped with a special lamb sauce, served with Basmati rice.

Qorma-i Tarkari – $19.50
Cauliflower, baby carrots and potatoes topped with our special lamb sauce in a blend of dill, saffron, turmeric and cumin, and served with Basmati rice on the side.

Fish Qorma – $20.00
Filet of Tilapia cooked in our special spices. served with Basmati rice, mixed vegetable and Salata.

Badenjan Borani – $22.00/$26.00
Eggplant sauteed and simmered in a lightly spiced tomato-based sauce, topped with ground beef specially seasoned with coriander, turmeric and cayenne pepper, and yogurt-garlic sauce. Add a side of Basmati rice for an additional four dollars.

Chunks of beef fillet marinated in a blend of ground coriander, garlic and freshly ground black pepper. Served with an optional piece of Badenjan Borani.

Bara Kebab – $26.00 / $28.00
Succulent pieces of lamb marinated in garlic, onions, coriander seeds, saffron and lemon juice. Served with an optional piece of Badenjan Borani.

Murgh Kebab – $19.00 / 21.00
Fillet of chicken marinated overnight in yogurt, turmeric, garlic and a touch of cayenne pepper. Served with an optional piece of Badenjan Borani.

Combination Kebab for Two 
Beginning with two bowls of Ash, followed by a combination platter of your choice of two kebabs, served with palaw, salata, Afghan Bread, Badenjan Borani. Includes two Firni for dessert.

Rack of Lamb – $35.00
A generous portion lamb marinated in garlic, coriander seeds, lemon juice, turmuric and touch of cayenne pepper. Served with Badenjan Borani, Basmati rice, Salata and Afghan Bread.

Firni – $6.50
Custard pudding flavored with cardamom and rosewater and topped with ground pistachios.

Baklava – $7.00
Traditional thin pastry layered with nuts and honey, flavored with saffron and cardamom.

Chocolate Mousse – $10.00
A very rich mousse. made with Belgian chocolate and Grand Marnier.

Ice Cream

Pistachio Rosewater Ice Cream – $7.50
Delicately flavored with ground pistachios, saffron and rosewater. A taste from somewhere far away.

Mango Ice Cream or Sorbet – $7.00
A mango-lover heaven. A generous serving of an intensely flavored ambrosia.
